The Easiest Way to Use Digital Backdrops

Digital backdrops can be used by anyone with ease. Don’t worry about all the technology involved. Once you master it you will see how easy it actually is. The key to success here is to be creative and the possibilities for well presented photographs with beautiful digital backdrops are endless.

How do I do this? Well, first of all you must spend a little time studying the method and then you will see that it is easy even for a newcomer. To use digital backdrops in your photographs you will need Adobe Photoshop and Corel Photo paint. Armed with these you can now start to use your digital backdrop and enhance your photographs.

It is best if you take your picture against a blue or green screen. They are ideal for this type of process. This is because they separate the subject from the background efficiently and with ease. Any other solid color also can be used although the clarity that is gained will be less than in blue or green backgrounds.  At times you might get a bit of a haze in the areas surrounding the subject.

After you get your photograph which you want to enhance by adding a digital backdrop, you should save that image on to the hard drive and then access it via Photoshop. The next step to be taken is to remove the green or blue background. This is generally done with the use of the magic wand mask utility. Then the masked area can be cut out and afterwards re-mask the white area. Thereafter, you can open one of the digital backdrops on the same screen. Now it will be easy for you to drag the masked image and position it to fit on top of the backdrop image. Sometimes you may have to re-mask the white area before you proceed. Thereafter all you have to do is to hit cut and the backdrop underneath will be revealed. 

Now you can fine tune the image by cleaning up the edges with the use of the eraser tool or alternatively by using the rubber stamp tool. All that is left to be done now is to print out the photograph. You can try different backdrops and then choose what is best. This is the easiest and the best way to use digital backdrops and thus enhance your photographs by adding beauty and depth to otherwise bland backgrounds.
